
Richard L. Salzer, M.D.
He has numerous appearances in New York and New Jersey Magazines’ “Top Doctors”. and has been in Castle and Connolly’s Top Doctors: New York Metro Area every year. In addition he has been named one of America’s “Top Surgeons” and “Top Orthopedists” by The Consumer Research Council. His “minimally invasive” techniques for total knee and hip replacements have decreased post-operative pain and hospital length of stay and increased early patient mobility. Dr. Salzer is a leader in the Englewood Hospital Medical Center having served as Secretary, Vice-President and President of the six hundred member Medical Staff and Medical Executive Committee.
Outside of practicing medicine, he has been an active member of many Englewood non-profit organizations. He is, and has been for over twenty years, the Head Team Physician for Farleigh Dickinson University’s Varsity Athletic Teams, the only Division One College in Bergen, Hudson and Passaic Counties Currently he a member of the Board of Directors and the Medical Committee of The Greenwall Foundation which specializes in funding national medical ethics research.
